Light Comes First –
As a multi-disciplinary artist, it is sometimes difficult to articulate the essence of the connection between the varied ways that I work and how I think of process and meaning.
The full body of my work should be understood in the context of a collective whole, since it is all in the service of speaking about longing, time, memory and (perhaps) nostalgia, regardless of media.
What connects these pathways of image making is the wonder and trickery of it all; but mostly it's light. Which always comes first.
